Timothy Brian Bass, known best as “Timmy”, died Friday morning, May 25, 2018, at the age of 41. Timmy was born February 3, 1977, and though challenged from birth, was always a caring person with a loving disposition. He proudly graduated from high school and had a never-ending love for music; Timmy loved to sing and knew the words to most any song. A truck, the color red of his favorite team NC State, and his dog Cha-Lee were among his other passions and loves. Timmy’s kind manner and loving heart are enduring trademarks that will always occupy memories of him.
Timmy was preceded in death by his older brother, Robbie, in 1985. It was Robbie who instilled in Timmy the love of NC State and the color red.
Timmy is survived by his mother, Ruth B. Harrison and husband, Jarvis of Snow Hill; father, Robert S. Bass and wife, Charlotte of Cornelius; siblings, April Fields and Amanda Harper, both of Snow Hill, Christine Lively of Cornelius, Danielle Bradford of Huntersville, and Michael Bass of Cornelius; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services to remember and honor his life will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, May 31, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with Reverend Leon Grubbs officiating. Interment will immediately follow at the Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 – 1:15 PM prior to the service and other times at the home of Jarvis and Ruth Harrison, 180 Warrentown Road, Snow Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534. Online condolences at www.taylor-tyson.com

Celebrating the life of Timmy Bass
Thank you for signing Timmy Bass's Guestbook
I am so sorry for your loss. The Bible describes death as an enemy, and how fitting, since death brings us so much pain. But there is someone who is stronger than death. “He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces. The reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, For Jehovah himself has spoken it.” Isaiah 25:8 Jehovah will remove the cause of our suffering and dry our eyes. Death will be destroyed, and those who have died will be brought back to life, with the prospect of living forever in paradise on earth. Right now it may be hard to see past the pain, but there is hope for the future. May this hope comfort your grieving hearts.
